On 23th September, the Lima’s Museum of Art (MALI) will present 130 pieces of art for sale. Within the selection are Peruvian silverware, local handcraft, modern art, and decorative art pieces. Among the elements, stands out the painting named “El hijo pródigo apacentando cerdos” form an anonymous author, worth 20,000 soles (6.000 dollars) and “La anunciación” worth 5.500 dollars.

The XXII annual Auction is dedicated to Sara del Valle, the first female director of the museum. Del Valle is considered pioneer in the Peruvian art reassessment. The event is supported by the internationally known finance company J.P. Morgan Private Bank. The money raised by the auction will be channeled exclusively to “continue with the development of various projects that the institution assume, as well as increase the funds for the acquisition of pieces for the permanent collection”.

To attend to the event, one must donate 150 soles or 100 soles for members of the “MALI’s Friends Program”.
