The 64th Grammy Awards celebration will take place on Sunday, April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, United States. Let us remember that this gala had been postponed after the appearance of the omicron variant in the United States since this musical event should have taken place in January.
In this sense, it must also be taken into account that the Grammys also changed venues. For the first time in history, the awards will take place in the state of Nevada, within the city of Las Vegas. Historically, the usual setting was within Los Angeles, California.
It should be noted that the MGM Grand Garden Arena is the stage that usually hosts the Latin version of these awards, known as the Latin Grammys. For this reason, the new date of this event also moved the CMT Music Awards, of the country genre, which were going to take place on April 3 and will now take place on the 11th of that same month.

The Expectations Around the Grammys and the Expected Performances
The first thing to keep in mind is that some artists will not be able to be present at this event. An emblematic case occurs with the Foo Fighters, who decided to postpone all their presentations after the death of the drummer, Taylor Hawkins. It is unknown so far if there will be another group that will replace the rockers.

Another uncertainty surrounds BTS, the successful pop band from South Korea. It is not known if they will be at the celebration, since a member of the band, Jungkook, recently tested positive for COVID-19. Days ago, J-Hope, from the same group, also tested positive, so the presentation will be determined by local regulations.
Well, fortunately, there is confirmed live music for this celebration. For example, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Finneas, Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X, Brothers Osborne, Jon Batiste, Rachel Zegler, Nas and Leslie Odom Jr, Cynthia Erivo, Ben Platt, HER, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, J Balvin, Maria Becerra and Olivia Rodrigo will be present at this gala.
Of all of them, the most anticipated shows are those of Billie Eilish and Beyoncé. The same happens with BTS, although there is no confirmation yet, as we had mentioned. On the other hand, there are also many expectations regarding the possible candidates to obtain the different awards of the year.

For example, the most nominated musician for these Grammys is Jon Batiste, who is something unknown to the Latin public. It is about the creator of the music of the Pixar movie, Soul. He is an extremely versatile artist, as he will be participating in various genres, such as jazz or R&B, with 11 possible prizes in total.
The following artists are important people in the music industry: Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and HER each got 8 nominations. In turn, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo had 7, which is quite a high number. All of them are serious candidates to obtain at least one award in this edition.
These Grammys will also have a surprise: the appearance of The Weekend. The pop star had "sabotaged" the Grammys, as he called the music selection process "corrupt" after not being invited despite having the most popular single in 2020, known as "Blinding Lights". Now, they decided to nominate him for 3 possible awards.

Something historic is that Jay-Z is nominated for three Grammys and has the highest number of nominations in history, with 83. As for Latin artists, the Argentine Nathy Peluso, Juanes, Karol G, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Rauw Alejandro, will compete among themselves among the shortlists for Best Latin Pop, Urban, or Rock Album. You should also see the interpretation of "Qué Más Pues?", by Latins J Balvin and María Becerra.
Finally, the awards can be seen at 7:00 pm Colombian time. The red carpet will start a few hours earlier, so at 4:00 pm you could already have news. It can be seen on TNT, with a Spanish dub. If you want to see it in the original language, you will have to tune in to the TNT Series version. We hope the event lives up to expectations!
