Colombian Pride! Camilo, Karol G and Shakira Lead the Latin Grammy Nominations
Colombia is the country of origin of the most nominated artists for the Latin Grammys. Camilo, Karol G and Shakira lead the nominations and raise Colombian pride .

The Colombians Camilo, Karol G and Shakira, with seven nominations each, are the artists with the most prize options at the Latin Grammy 2023, to which the Argentine Bizarrap and the Spanish Pablo Alborán also compete as great favorites.
There are also five candidacies accumulated by the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, the Argentine María Becerra, the Colombian Feid and the Mexican Natalia Lafourcade, as revealed this Tuesday by the Latin Recording Academy in a broadcast from Seville (Spain).
2023: a successful year for Latin music
Especially close will be the recording of the year category, with eleven candidates, among which are "No es que te extrañe" by Christina Aguilera; "Carretera y manta" by Pablo Alborán; "Déjame llorarte", by Paula Arenas with Jesús Navarro; "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53", by Bizarrap with Shakira; and "Si tú me quieres", by Fonseca and Juan Luis Guerra.
Completing that list are "Mientras me curo del cora" by Karol G, "De todas las flores" by Natalia Lafourcade, "Ojos marrones" by Lasso, "La fórmula" by Maluma and Marc Anthony, "Despechá" by Rosalía and "Correcaminos" by Alejandro Sanz with Danny Ocean.

As album of the year, "La cu4rta Hoja" by Pablo Alborán could be chosen; "A ciegas", by Paula Arenas; "De adentro pa fuera", by Camilo; "Décimo cuarto", by Andrés Cepeda; "Vida cotidiana", by Juanes; "Mañana será bonito", by Karol G; "De todas las flores", by Natalia Lafourcade; "Play", by Ricky Martín; "Eadda9223", by Fito Páez; and "Escalona nunca se había grabado así", by Carlos Vives.
The Spaniard Alejandro Sanz competes this year as a candidate in two categories, the same as his compatriot the rapper Quevedo and the band Arde Bogotá, ahead of other figures from his country such as Rosalía, Manuel Carrasco or Vanesa Martín, with a candidacy.
"This group of creators reflects the musical excellence and richness of Latin music and we hope to celebrate them during Latin Grammy Week in Seville, which will be a truly historic moment for our organization," said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Academy of the Recording, during the presentation of the nominees.
