2022 left us with great moments when it comes to the fashion industry, but with the end of the year, not only is it remembering what happened, but it is also looking forward to what the future holds. Next, we will tell you what some of the trends that promise for 2023 are.
The Bigger The Better
The oversize has been going strong since the launch of the autumn/winter seasons of the most renowned fashion houses in the world, such as Louis Vuitton and Diesel. If at the beginning of this year we saw mini skirts and cropped tops being the most used, in 2023 we will see oversized pants and blazers more strongly, especially in the office looks. This type of garment will be seen in classic tones such as beige and coffee.
We will also see the oversize present in slightly more casual and youthful garments and outfits, especially in sportswear with warm tones such as purple, orange, and even bright magenta, the color of 2023 according to Pantone.
Everyday Lingerie
This trend that promises for the coming spring season seems to show that it is not about what is used, but how it is used. Garments such as nightgowns in flowing fabrics, lace, satin, and see-through fabrics go from being in bed to being in the streets.
Designers like Antonio Marras and Christopher Kane are playing with pajama cuts and the use of fabrics for skirts/pants and blazer suits.
Denim, Denim, Denim
As we already said, the revamped 2000s are entering the fashion world with force, and of course, denim comes with them. Wearing denim on denim will become popular in the spring/summer season. Both in pants and tops we will see the worn fabric, changes of tones, and tears. We emphasize that, especially in bottom garments, the oversized style that we mentioned above will be the most prominent, either with a high or low shot, preferably the latter.

A Look Back At The '20s
As if to pay homage to the fashion of 100 years ago, in 2023 we will see tassels and fringes, famous in the 1920s. This glamorous style was already making its way in 2022, and 2023 is expected to be the year in the takeoff, especially when it comes to talking about parties and casual dresses, so we will see them in the summer season.
Stylish Sneakers
The sporty style is no longer only used for sports, now it shines on the streets and the most important catwalks in the world of fashion. Adidas has been a great promoter in this sense since it has generated a trend in the use of garments with loose and very comfortable lasts and with avant-garde designs that look good when worn every day.
The Gothic And The Luxurious
This trend responds to the echoes of the 90s. The gothic style returns with a twist on itself and becomes luxurious and avant-garde. Black and purple tones, minimalist designs, and transparencies are some of the elements that we will see this year with the arrival of the Gothic style.
Alessandra Rich, Versace, and Dolce & Gabanna already gave us a glimpse of how this trend will unfold in their Spring/Summer 2023 collections shows.
2023 will be an excellent year for fashion, the designs that are coming promise to leave us with our mouths open and give us a taste of what the world of fashion and its reception will be like in this new year.
