The countdown does not stop and many in Latin America are still waiting for HBO Max to arrive in June to offer us more quality content. The main objective of the renewed streaming platform is to bring innovative films, series, and documentaries for audiences of all ages, not to mention that WarnerMedia announced in mid-February that they are preparing their first exclusive productions in Latin America. Argentina and Mexico will be in charge of two unmissable projects: Days of Gallos and Bunker.
It is worth remembering that the platform has been operational since May 2020 in the United States, becoming one of the most demanded platforms, just like Netflix or Disney +. It is expected that with the expansion its exclusive titles will have higher revenues, in addition to making the service more attractive thanks to the companies of Cartoon Network, Warner Bros, DC, CNN, TNT, TBS, among others. The HBO Max revolution is just beginning.
«WarnerMedia aspira a ser el mejor del mundo en contar historias, generando experiencias y emociones que nuestros consumidores valoren y disfruten – en cualquier momento, en cualquier lugar y en cualquier pantalla. En América Latina estamos produciendo una gran variedad de contenido original que pronto estará disponible en HBO Max». – Tomas Yankelevich, Jefe de Contenido de Entretenimiento General de WarnerMedia Latin America.
The competitive world of rap battles
Argentina is probably the most recognized country in Latin America for its freestyle competitions. Given that, Días de Gallos will become that captivating youth drama that you don't want to miss if you like that world or if you are looking for a way to learn more about it. The cast will be made up of new talents such as Ángela Torres, Ecko, and Tomás Wicz; renowned names such as Julieta Zylberberg, Carlos Portaluppi, Delfina Chaves, and Rafael Spregelburd; and other freestylers like Roma, NTC, Klan, and drag actress La Queen.
In a joint production with Zeppelin Studios, the series of ten episodes of 45 minutes each will show us those emotions and dreams that are born in an entire community of young and talented rap artists who compete against each other. Of course, there will never be a lack of moments where different relationships have their dose of friendship, love, and sex, all this while also learning from the mistakes they make along the way.
The three actors who play the main characters did not miss the opportunity to give their impressions on the series in recent days. "I feel that it addresses the conflicts that a large part of today's youth go through, with a very sincere vision," said actress Angela Torres. For his part, actor Tomás Wicz commented: "It is the series that I would have needed to see as a teenager. It will undoubtedly mark a before and after in the way of summoning and representing youth." Finally, the rapper Ecko confessed: "In this series, the world from which I come is portrayed. I feel very comfortable because of that and because of the great work team that we have."
Acid humor in a basement
When it comes to Latin American comedy, Mexico is one of the nations par excellence that is always at the top of the list. Bunker aims to be that series that hooks the viewer thanks to its acid humor that very few dare to do on the continent. Among its protagonists are names such as: Bruno Bichir, Miguel Rodarte, Ricardo Polanco, Liz Gallardo, Adrián Vazquez, Claudette Maille, Giselle Kuri, Víctor Oliveira and Jesús Zavala.

WarnerMedia has already announced the end of filming in Mexico City and it would last for eight episodes of half an hour each. The story revolves around a man who has lost the respect of his wife and children and ends up finding peace in an old bunker in the basement of his home, but he does not imagine how fate will turn him around. To this should be added funny moments that also involve Russian and Korean scientists and unscrupulous businessmen.
"Besides being fun, it has a profound message because it makes it clear that life is short and you have to take advantage of it with harmony and love," said its protagonist Bruno Bichir. In turn, the actor Víctor Oliveira explained: "It is a story that involves two Mexican families, a group of Russians, another of Koreans and some activists whose stories come together for a common cause. It is a tangle in which loyalty flourishes. , the family and a lot of action ".
