Leer en español: ¿Quiénes son los latinoamericanos que nos representan en el Tour de Francia?
1. Nairo Quintana: The name of Nairo Quintana has become one of the most recurrent in the Tour de France dispute. The Colombian, who already finished three times on the podium of the gala round, comes to this edition assuming the leadership within the Movistar team. Quintana leads in a shared way with Alejandro Valverde and Mikel Landa.
While it is true that Nairo already lost some important seconds in the first stage due to a breakdown he suffered, according to the same coffee, in an interview published by the newspaper El Espectador, the idea is to recover time and return to the fight " That's the way things are, we have to keep going, the only consolation that remains is that Froome has also lost time, now we have to try to recover the lost time".
The internal dispute in Movistar and the race in general will not be easy. Nairo himself has more than clear that his only goal for 2018, and for which he did not participate in the Giro d'Italia, is to conquer that coveted yellow jersey that he has pursued so much in recent years.
2. Rigoberto Urán: Having been second place in the last Tour de France gives Rigoberto Urán the greatest credential when it comes to this year's edition. The native of Antioquia, Colombia, will come to the race as the undisputed leader of EF Education First, a team that unlike last year, for this 2018 opted for Urán as its leader. The team surrounded him with gregarious tools to accompany him on the mountain and, why not, to conquer the victory of the event. The same Rigo said a few days ago through their social networks "this is the team that will face the Tour", thanking the EF Team for the support to choose him as leader for the Tour.
3 Daniel Martínez: EF Education First will have anotherColombian with the presence of Daniel Martínez. A young climber who already knew how to be competitive in the Tour of California this year in which he finished second, just behind Egan Bernal. This registration gave him the possibility of winning his place in the French joust, which he will assume as a luxury partner of Rigo Urán, whom he has already announced that he will defend when the most demanding instances arrive.
4. Darwin Atapuma: The Colombian Darwin Atapuma will be another one of the good runners that the Latin American legion will present in this Tour. The climber of the African UAE team will try to assume a leading role in some fractions of medium and high mountain as he did in previous big rounds. Atapuma will look for some partial victory that can take him to the sptolight.

5. Egan Bernal: Chris Froome counts with the presence of a luxury gregarious within the ranks of the Sky. This is Egan Bernal, the baptized wonder child and who in this 2018, his first year as a professional, has exhibited his great talent. First, Bernal demonstrated his talent with the conquest of the Colombia Oro y Paz race and then with the solid triumph of the Tour de California. Both results guaranteed him his place in the powerful British team, which will seek the fourth consecutive crown of Froome.
The same Victor Hugo Peña, who recently analyzed for the readers of LatinAmerican Post all the previous one of the Tour of France, assured that Egan will have a very clear paper that will be to serve in the mountain to the aspirations of its leader Christopher Froome. The British will try to go in search of his fifth yellow jersey.
6. Fernando Gaviria: Unlike most Colombian runners, Quick-Step has a luxury packer in its ranks, such as the Fernando Gaviria, who after winning four victories in the 2017 Giro de Italia packaging, opens in Tour de France trying to reach a similar participation. It is clear that Gaviria, who also won the first fraction of the event and could wear the yellow jersey, will have demanding rivals in the sprint arrivals like of Mark Cavendish, Marcel Kittel, and the same world champion Peter Sagan. All of them will try to avoid their pretensions.
7. Maximiliano Richeze: Another of those faces that year after year is presented in the Tour de France is the experienced sprinter Maxi Richeze. The Argentine of the Quick-Step team will have for this edition of the gala round, the clear task of preparing the packaging of Fernando Gaviria, with whom he has already made a pair in different competitions.
8. Andrey Amador: To close the list, one of the most important teams of the Tour squad, especially in the mountain factions that are about to start, is the Costa Rican Andrey Amador. The tico will support those who end up catapulting as the leader of Movistar and will play a key role when it comes to competing as equals against the Sky's machinery. This team will try to impose their conditions on the mountain, so men like Amador will try to break their rule.
