The news was released after the Royal Spanish Football Federation authorized Real Madrid to carry out the merger of Club Deportivo Tacón that will allow the women's squad to start competing on behalf of the merengue team.
The Club Deportivo Tacón played in the first division of the National Championship of the Spanish women's soccer league (formerly known as the Super League).
Real Madrid will play the women's soccer competitions starting from the next 2020-21 season, with the City of Madrid, Spain, being the venue for their matches and training sessions, states the sports team's official press release.
