Most expensive transfers in recent premier history

Recently, the CIES football observatory put out a list of the most expensive signings in the history of the Premier League, here we show you the most important ones.

Transfer of Kai Havertz – Chelsea
 

The 21-year-old prodigy was acquired by Chelsea in this summer's transfer window for € 80 million. This window was historic for Chelsea, who spent 247 million euros to bring new talent to their team, almost the same as the entire Bundesliga invested (321 million).

Signing of Nicolas Pépé – Arsenal
 

Despite breaking Arsenal's transfer record by being acquired for 80 million euros, Pépé has not lived up to the expectations that have been set for him. The 25-year-old has only been able to show his talent on a few occasions since this historic signing in 2019. Was it worth acquiring him?
