Naftali Bennett, is the Jewish politician who managed to dethrone for the second time (first in 15 years) the all-powerful Benjamin Netanyahu. However, despite the fact that the leader of the right-wing Yamina party is the country's new head of state, the coalition is made up of 8 parties from many ideological currents. Even within the political movements, the Ra'am or United Arab List stand out. The latter is the first Arab movement to come to power.

This diverse coalition was the only way to overthrow the Likud, who had ruled under Netanyahu since 2009. This also means that the government's plan is as uncertain as its ideals. There are progressive parties that seek to pass laws in favor of the LGBT + community, but also conservative movements, both Jewish and in the Arab party.

Due to this political and ideological diversity of the new government and the low representation that the Ra'am will suppose, the Palestinian Authority is not very optimistic. If it is true that it will open space for voices that agree with the dialogue with the Palestinians and close positions to resolve the conflict, it is also true that there are others within the same government that defend and promote Jewish settlements in Palestinian territory, one of the main obstacles for a peace agreement.
