At the conclusion of the Campus " Media and Women in Politics " held in Colonia, Uruguay, and organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, about 30 women from the region signed a five-point manifesto in the framework of International Women's Day .

One of the proposals emerged from the space is that the United Nations (UN), within the framework of the 2030 sustainable development agenda, contemplates as the theme for 2019 the initiative "women supporting women" creating a campaign "She for she" similar to "He for she" promoted by UN Women with the objective of "involving men and boys as agents of change for the achievement of gender equality and the vindication of women's rights". In this case, the thematic axis and the "She for she" campaign would have as their goal "to promote good practices of support from woman to woman and to reclaim the commitment of solidarity among women".

Likewise, after two days of work in which they shared and exchanged ideas about the role of women and the challenges and opportunities they have today in political life, they concluded that recognizing women as an economic and social actor "is an issue fundamental "in Latin America. They also urged governments to promote public policies that encourage and sustain the participation and empowerment of women in all fields of public and private life.

During the meeting, women representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, Uruguay and as special guest the German deputy of the CDU, Ellen Demuth. Most of them have a prominent role in politics and the media of their countries.

LATIN AMERICAN WOMEN LIFT THE VOICE

Within the framework of International Women's Day, 28 women leaders from Latin America gathered to participate in the Campus Media and Women in Politics, sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, we said:

1. During 2018, Argentina will preside over the G20 summit, which will focus on three key issues: the future of work, infrastructure for development, and sustainable food. We believe that it is a fundamental political issue to recognize women as an economic and social actor, and therefore we urge their participation and vision to be transversal to the activities of the summit.
2. We raise our voice for the people of Venezuela, and we fight for that country to return to the path of Democracy, and especially so that the fundamental rights of the Venezuelan people, who suffer the consequences of the humanitarian crisis that lives daily, are respected.
3. We urge governments to promote public policies on the subject of women's rights and empowerment in our countries. In the same way, encourage its diffusion through new technologies, warning about the need to be used with an ethical and human vision.
4. We ratify that it is urgent to deepen the improvement of the quality of life of women, with emphasis on the eradication of gender violence, reduction of the maternal-infant mortality rate, co-responsibility in care and equal opportunities.
5. Therefore, within the framework of the 2030 sustainable development agenda, we demand the commitment of solidarity among us as a fundamental tool. Promote good practices, support from woman to woman, so that everyone understands that when a woman advances, we all advance. In this sense, we suggest that the thematic axis of the United Nations Organization for 2019 be women supporting women ( she for she ) contemplating initiatives similar to the " he for she" campaign.
