We have reached the fourth month of the year, and the list of productions that will reach streaming platforms stands out for its variety. Like every month, at LatinAmerican Post, we publish our release guide with the most anticipated movies and series. Look at the surprises that Netflix, HBO Max, Prime Video, Apple TV, and Disney + will bring. Do not miss it!

"Florida Man" (April 13 – Netflix)

The eight-episode miniseries has all the ingredients to be one of Netflix's best April releases. Inspired by a journalistic meme, the Venezuelan Édgar Ramírez led the project under the production of names like Donald Todd and Jason Bateman. The plot follows Mike Valentine, an ex-cop who must search for the runaway girlfriend of a mob boss in his native Florida. However, bad decisions will make the mission impossible in a lawless place.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" (April 14 – Prime Video)

That a series reaches five seasons is always something worth noting, especially when it comes to comedy. Prime Video will bring the final curtain down on one of its most striking originals in the genre, whose performance by Rachel Brosnahan has garnered acclaim. And after all that "Midge" Maisel has experienced, beyond the parallel stories of Susie or Rose, this time we will see her much closer to achieving the success she has always dreamed of, despite being in an industry where almost no woman is valued.

"Barry" (April 16 – HBO Max)

Another of the current HBO jewels will also have its final farewell. The series, which follows the misadventures of a contract killer who dreams of becoming an actor, will have an intense fourth season to fill in the gaps and answer questions about the main character. After Cousineau sets Barry up for arrest, the consequences for both will be as shocking as unforeseen. The performances of Bill Hader, Henry Winkler, and Anthony Carrigan are worthy of applause.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always" (April 19 – Netflix)

On the 30th anniversary of its premiere, Netflix brings a special aimed at those children of the nineties who enjoyed Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. For this, the producers once again called the original actors (David Yost and Walter E. Jones) and the successors of the following seasons (Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, and Catherine Sutherland). The plot will see them come together again to face off against a familiar villain who returns recharged: Rita Repulsa.

"Ghosted" (April 21 – Apple TV)

The Apple TV streaming platform goes with everything in April. Although they will bring to their catalog several interesting productions, the most outstanding of all is this action film that promises to set a precedent. The reason? It will be the woman who does the hard work instead of the man. Cole (Chris Evans) falls for Sadie (Ana de Armas) after a date, but she stops texting him the next day. However, everything will come to light when it is discovered that she is a spy for the CIA and must solve a dangerous mission.

"Love and Death" (April 27 – HBO Max)

Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons team up to star in a seven-episode miniseries that promises to bring new audiences to HBO Max. It is a production inspired by the book "Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs," by Joe Bob Briggs, which tells a story based on actual events. The plot focuses on two religious couples, the Montgomerys and the Gores, who enjoy life in a small Texas town without imagining that an extramarital affair will lead someone to make a brutal and bloody decision.

"Peter Pan & Wendy" (April 28 – Disney+)

Disney's live-action is still going, and now it's up to this classic duo. The adaptation of the 1953 animated film will tell the story of two brothers who often enjoy the stories that their older sister, Wendy, tells them about the adventures of Peter Pan and Captain Hook. However, what is fiction to them magically becomes a reality when Peter takes them to Neverland, unaware that it will have dire consequences. The young Alexander Molony, Ever Anderson, Yara Shahidi, and the experienced Jude Law lead the cast.
