A report published by UNESCO in conjunction with UN Women reveals the benefits of involving more women in the STEM field. The data collected show that of the total number of researchers in engineering and technology, only 36% were women in Uruguay, 26% in Colombia, 21.5% in Bolivia, 19% in Peru, and 17% in Honduras.

Female Founders Day: A New Opportunity for Women in 2022
The event Female Founders Day took place on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ateneo de Madrid and was of great relevance in this sector. In addition, their contribution can be useful for the economic future of women in the year 2022. In its program, keynote talks were given with Elena García Armada and Marta Caparrós, as well as dialogues with Clara Grima and Esther Molina. In addition, the participation of women investors from different parts of the world, such as Eva Plá, Rocío Álvarez, Claudia Gómez, and Sofía Benjumea, provide another perspective giving rise to new talents who want to venture into the world of STEM.
Leaders Beatriz Aznar, Luz Rello, Mónica Pérez, Mireia Badía, Ana Laguna and Nerea Luis led the round table as STEM founders. The event was organized by Female Startup Leaders related to investors, founders, communicators, scientists, and disseminators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, so that other women have contact with leading references in the sector. In addition, Ana Rodríguez, Pepita Marín, Laura Lozano, Angélica Pimentel and Marta Fernández de la Vega guided the round table of founders in the media.
Finally, Martha Del Amo, Yaiza Canosa, Cristina Miquel, Carmen Pumariño, Sofía Fernández and María Villar, coordinated the round table of entrepreneurship from the formation.
