As we all know, the health crisis caused by COVID-19 has acted very negatively on women studying STEM careers. However, some companies, such as Microsoft, strive to bring about a positive radical change in that whole environment.
A recent article published by UN Women called "Latin American Women in Science and Technology" revealed that STEM careers are the job vacancies that the future holds with the best income. In addition, the figures indicate that women drive innovation, social welfare, and economic growth; therefore, there is a requirement for STEM women.
On the other hand, Microsoft creates different types of initiatives to reduce the gender gap in the technology industry to drive more girls and women to equal opportunities. Women achieved a boom, and significant advances that in some way generate drastic changes in society, including social networks, have led to their growth.
In this sense, there are programs like DigiGirlz that promote STEM careers in women and girls to understand and develop science and technology skills in a fun way. In addition, Microsoft proposed MakeCode Girls Inventors, a programming seminar composed of 3 online workshops and provided on the platform in the middle of the pandemic. That is why The Woman Post invites you to meet three young girls immersed in that world who want to publicize their management.
Ingrid Guacheta, Colombia
She is a student of the program "She's an Astronaut." UN Women revealed in one of its publications that it is committed to the great initiative of developing girls living in vulnerability or poverty to make progress in their scientific learning. Ingrid Guacheta learned the meaning of leadership, teamwork, and the real circumstances that can be lived in a NASA mission space. On the other hand, it is essential to explain to young girls that all dreams are possible to fulfill.

Victoria Cano Colazo, Argentina
Victoria Cano reveals that CONICET shows virtual rooms as an initiative for women to be made visible in the scientific sector. In addition, it brings a series of modules called "Bird's Eye," "Amanda," "History," "Cartography," "Transcendence," and "Deconstruction," all wanting to show the compatibility between the private and public life of women scientists. CONICET developed the space with the Directorate and the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation Observations.
Daniela Sánchez, Chile
The girl leader, who has skills to handle physics and chemistry, sought to expand her knowledge with the program "Your opportunity at UN Women" to successfully contribute skills in the spaces. Daniela believes that her ideology is based on the fact that women have a lot to contribute to science. Still, there is a lack of opportunities and training spaces to involve everyone.
In short, these girls help other women participate in spaces that men have entirely led. The idea is that girls follow their dreams and have the doors open to make a transformation of the world with effort.
