The United Kingdom will have a new king next Saturday, May 6, the day on which the coronation of Carlos III and his wife, Camilla, as queen consort will be celebrated. The ceremony has more than 2,000 guests, including world royalty, international leaders and representatives of civil society. Likewise, it will start at 11 in the morning and is expected to last an hour, so it will be shorter and easier than that of Isabel II. Coronations of the British monarchy have been a tradition since 1066, the year William the Conqueror was anointed king.
