Effects on hearing

Effects on mental health.

1. Addiction to new technologies generates serious behavioral problems that develop mental illnesses such as anxiety, withdrawal syndrome, depression, attention deficit, and oppositional defiant disorder.

2. On the other hand, according to the Spanish Neuropsychiatrist Marian Rojas, the overstimulation of the prefrontal cortex with light and sound generated by mobile devices causes loss of attention and concentration, loss of decision-making capacity, determination, and management of will and impulsiveness. The immediacy and instant gratification generated using screens generate dopamine, which is the hormone of addictions, accustoming users to keep their attention on the screens in search of acceptance and immediate gratification and which generates a low tolerance for frustration.

4. Sleep disorder called “technological insomnia”, which is generated by the luminescence of screens before sleeping, which causes overstimulation in the brain. 5. Virtual addiction. It generates dependence on social networks, chats, and games and alters the normal performance of daily life in the school, work, family, and social spheres, it is called "Internet Addictive Disorder (DAI)".
