The official Netflix synopsis reads: "Dying doesn't mean disappearing, and an au pair discovers this by falling into an abyss of terrifying secrets in this gothic romance from the creator of The Haunting of Hill House." Thus, the series, which premiered on September 9, will feature, like the previous work of its creator, a haunted house and children who walk through it and are scared in it. Although one of the great features of The Haunting of Hill House was the double narrative line, which The Haunting of Bly Manor does not have, this new series promises other ways to terrorize viewers.

Who makes it?

This is the mind behind The Haunting of Hill House: Mike Flanagan, who, in addition to creating the hit Netflix series, has also written other horror films that have played on and off the streaming platform such as Hush and Doctor Sleep . it is certainly Flanagan's peculiar taste to adapt horror books. The Haunting of Hill House was based on the homonymous book by Shirley Jackson in which a group of adult siblings must remember the terror of their childhood. This time, the series will be based on Henry James' Victorian horror novel The Turn of the Screw. In it, a nanny, who here is an au pair, finds herself involved in a web of secrets in a mansion where the terrifying children she must take care of live.

This, in addition, is not the only similarity that this new series has with its predecessor: we will see again several members of the cast of The Curse of Hill House. In this series participate: Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Hnery Thomas, Amelia Eve, T'Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Tahirah Sharif, Amelie Bea Smith and Benjain Evan Ainsworth.
