But everything seems to have changed with the arrival of this new tournament. With a revitalized squad, the Warriors currently have the best record in their conference and in the entire league, with 18 games won and only 3 lost. What is the reason for this rebirth?
The Curry factor
One of the undeniable factors in the Warriors' success is the unrivaled Stephen Curry. Curry, who is considered the best three-point shooter in league history, is having one of his best seasons. In just 19 games, he has already scored more than 100 3-pointers, breaking the record he had set himself in 2015.
And it is that this year the star of the warriors is at another level. Curry is averaging 28.6 points per game, the most in the entire league, and he also has the best free throw percentage made at 94.2%. His incredible talent for throwing puts defenders running all over the pitch and makes it difficult for opponents to play.

A much improved defense
But the Warriors' success is not solely due to one player. It is also worth mentioning that the team's group defense has improved exponentially. The Warriors went from the league's fifth-best defensive team to the first this year, a notable difference.
Curry has improved remarkably in this regard with respect to his previous seasons, but, in interviews, the player has assured that this success is due to a group effort. One player who has stood out in this regard is Gary Payton II, who this season has made a phenomenal effort to close attack lines, get steals and solidify the Warriors' defense. On the other hand, we cannot discount the veteran Draymond Green, who brings experience and great defensive knowledge to the team.
With the imminent return of Klay Thompson, Currry's star duo, the Warriors could be in their best position in decades. Will we see another championship?
