The 18-year-old singer won the Best Billboard 200 Album award for her 2019 album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" Eilish is set for 12 awards, including Best Artist, Best Female Artist, and Best New Artist. This is the first time she has been nominated at the awards ceremony. Her album won between Ariana Grande's "Thank U Next", Khalid's "Free Spirit," Post Malone's "Hollywood's Bleeding" and Taylor Swift's "Lover."

Pink likes to use her profile to draw attention to social and humanitarian issues. In 2017, the singer received one of the most prestigious accolades in the industry: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Past honorees included big names like Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Rihanna. This year at the Billboard Music Awards, the artist took home the Touring Artist award. In 2019, Pink's Beautiful Trauma World Tour was a huge success with 159 shows in North America, Oceania, and Europe.

Lizzo won the Top Song Sales Artist award at the BBMAs. The "Good As Hell" singer used her acceptance speech to implore people in the United States to vote. Lizzo said: "I've been thinking a lot about the repression and the voices that refused to be suppressed, and I wonder if I would be here right now if it weren't for the great black women who refuse to have their voices suppressed." During the ceremony, the entertainer wore a Christian Siriano dress with the word "VOTE" completely printed.
