To speak of Novak Djokovic is to speak of one of the greatest tennis players of today and of all time. The 34-year-old Serbian stands out for his consistency in the game, his aggressiveness, and his handling and understanding of the changes of pace that occur in the same game. He is the holder of 86 ATP titles, 37 Masters tournaments, and 20 Grand Slam, has spent more than 300 days at the top of the ATP Rankings and ends the year as world number one for the seventh time in his career.
Ten years ago he became world number one for the first time when the careers of the Swiss Roger Federer and the Spaniard Rafael Nadal were at their peak, which for Djokovic was not difficult to achieve at just 24 years old.

2021 competitively started in the best way for Djokovic, he won the men's singles Australian Open after defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final and won his third Australian Open in a row and the ninth throughout his career. On March 8, Djokovic reached 311 weeks as number one in the ATP rankings, putting an end to the mark of Roger Federer who had in his possession 310 weeks being the first.
He also culminated at the top of the ATP ranking for the seventh year since he was a professional tennis player, something he had already achieved in the years 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2020.
As if that were not enough, he also broke the mark of the titles won of masters trophies, after obtaining his thirty-seventh championship, surpassing Rafael Nadal, who has 36 and became the first tennis player to win, at least in two occasions, in each of the Grand Slam that take place season after season.
Difficult to match, unique and unrepeatable, this is how you could describe the impressive career that Novak Djokovic has made so far and his 2021 has been a dream.
