2022 was, supposedly the year in which the COVID-19 pandemic would end. Although with the Omicron variant, infections initially increased, after the first two months of the year, both infections and death rates have decreased.
However, experts consider that this does not mean that the virus will disappear, but on the contrary, that it will become an endemic disease, which means that in certain places it will continue to cause public health problems and claim the lives of thousands of people around the world.

Despite this, we are a few days away from completing two years since the start of the pandemic and there are already many countries that have reduced the restrictions for dealing with COVID-19. Below we show you some of those that, for example, no longer have the mandatory use of masks.
Although this is a sign that the virus is becoming weaker, health organizations insist on the need to care for oneself and others.
