The era of the millennials is more present than ever: governments, influencers and athletes frequently occupy the front pages. Businesses are no exception, only in 2021 there were 78 people between the ages of 23 and 38 who, together, had a fortune of more than $ 418 billion dollars, according to data from La República, which shows of the impact on the global economy of this age range. Of those 78 characters, there are a good part whose fortune is based on technology, so in the middle of the golden age of technology companies their owners gradually joined the lists of the richest people alive.

In a world dominated by Google, Apple, Microsoft and Facebook, achieving success in the technological field has become an almost impossible task. Thousands of small startups struggle every day to survive and dream of being the next Facebook. Unfortunately for them, not all of them will succeed, some will disappear without leaving a major mark, others will be acquired by the biggest and very few will manage to become "unicorns" (companies whose value has exceeded one billion dollars) or even the hegemonic companies in the world. Those lucky few are led by young enthusiasts who have grown their fortunes, nouveau riche who join the roster of characters with money and even power.

In its 2021 list, Forbes magazine highlighted the impressive number of new millionaires, 493 people added their name to the exclusive list. Eduardo de Pontes and Andre Street: These Brazilian billionaires have an estimated fortune of 2.4 and 2.5 billion dollars respectively, thanks to the StoneCo company, whose specialty is financial technology solutions especially dedicated to payments. This fintech is one of the largest and most important in Latin America and continues to grow.

Sergey Dmitriev: Three countries dominate the list of newcomers in the Technology section, these are China, the United States and Russia. From the latter is Dmitriev, co-founder of JetBrains, a company that creates various technological solutions focused on programming, collaborative work, open source and a host of high-tech tools that has positioned them as one of the most important startups. Dmitriev's fortune alone amounts to $ 3.8 billion in 2021, making him one of the wealthiest of the 99 "nouveau riche" who make the Forbes list of technology.

George Kurtz: He is currently the CEO and co-founder of CrowdStrike, a high-tech company dedicated to cybersecurity. This has allowed him to amass a fortune estimated at $ 3 billion. Coming from McAfee, a giant specialized in security and technological solutions, Kurtz created his own company thanks to his high specialization and his ability as an entrepreneur that has quickly positioned him.

Xu Shaochun: China could not be missing from the list. The Asian giant is one of the technological powers of today. Shaochun appears on this 2021 list thanks to the income generated by his work at Kingdee, one of the largest technology companies not only in China, but also in the entire Asia Pacific region. His fortune amounts to more than 2.5 billion dollars, he is a software expert, which has reflected in the power of the company that is even listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Whitney Wolfe Herd: Of the 99 new tech recruits on the Forbes 2021 list, only 7 are women. The American Whitney Wolfe Herd stands out for being the youngest at just 31 years old and with a fortune of 1.3 billion dollars. Her company, Bumble Inc. was born to solve "deficiencies" compared to other similar dating apps such as Tinder. One of the most relevant points is the fact that women are the ones who should make the "first approach", thus avoiding harassment topics or sexist messages that occur more frequently in other applications.
